Hacking Acekard 2 or Acekard RPG?

I plan to get a new flashcart soon and I've taken Acekard as one of my possible choices.

So which one is the better Acekard? Acekard 2 or Acekard RPG in terms of usefulness/price.

I understand the Acekard RPG has build in memory with USB port and a MicroSD(HC) slot, and is a bit pricey compared to the Acekard 2. Is it really having all those extra features?

The Acekard RPG is only pricey because it has built in NAND memory.

I for one would go with AK2, mainly because RPG is not readily available aside from a couple asian based e-tailers.

I got the ak2 because it was cheaper... a lot cheaper. go do dealextreme.com akrpg doesn't offer that much more

The RPG is actually better due to it being open source, basically it has "unlimited" potential due to any developer can make their own firmware for it and just about anything they want for it. Though it comes at a price, its more costly.

^^ yeah it may be better, and open source will allow 'any developer' to make their own firmware, but who aside from the BBS team is really working on the firmware?

i see not much development otherwise.

The acekard team would provide developers with the AK2 source aslong as they are trusted, the AK2 source is closed source for a reason. I'd say go for the AK2, most if not all official development has moved towards that.

AK2 would be better for a budget solution, otherwise the RPG is the best investment due to it's NAND memory.
