I have an AceKard 2 (not the 2i). There is no way to get it working on a DSi XL right? For that I'd need to order a AceKard 2i? Just wanted to confirm before I went a head and ordered one. I'll be picking up the new midnight blue DSi XL next week to replace my DS Lite.

Another question since we're on the subject. Anyone know how long Shoptemp takes to ship to Western Canada (approx)? They ship from a US location unlike the Chinese competition, right?

Yup the AK2 is for DS and DSLite, for the DSi you need AK2i~!

About shipping time I don't know much, it also depends if you want free shipping or are willing to pay extra. If you pay extra it will be between 3-5 days, otherwise it will be between 2-5 weeks.

Shoptemp ship from Hong Kong, and how long it'll take will depend on the shipping you order.
Free shipping is estimated to take 2-5 weeks, but many people report it can take less.
Ordering express shipping like UPS should take less than a week.

There's full details here.

Remember, some people do have contacts issues with the DSi XL and Acekard 2i and have to pull the cart out slightly for it to work. Have a look in my guide in my sig.

Awesome, thanks for the replies folks. Nice guide as well tk_saturn I'll take a look!

Just to make sure, the Acekard is still one of the best bang for your buck flash carts right? It was back in the day when I got my first one, just wanted to make sure that is still the popular opinion? No new Acekard killer at this price point? I know about the R4 with wood firmware or whatever but I'd rather stick with what I already know which is Acekard with AKAIO.

Thanks again!

The R4 with Wood is pretty good and awesome value, but won't work on any DSi/ DSi XL or support MicroSDHC cards.

As far as DSi cards are concered, yes the Acekard 2i is still good value. You have carts like the DSTWO, but if don't need it's extra features, why pay $20 extra for them?

As far as "bang for your buck" goes, I'd definitely say that Acekard 2i with AKAIO is best if you need DSi or SDHC, and R4DS with Wood R4 if you don't need those.
