Hacking Ace3DS X - cia

Hello. I have a 2DS and I followed the ace3ds x NTRboot guide but I'm confused with how this all works. The card has a switch. With the switch set to DS, things work fine when I have my "nds files" on the microSD inside the Ace3DS X card. I'm able to see the Bob with the Sponge and off I go.

However, when I set the switch to 3DS and power up the device, where do I go from there? I have the Luma, FBI, etc apps. I also have a "cia file" in the CIAS folder of the microSD. I haven't been able to find any guide or youtube video showing how those cia files are run. Am I confusing the microSD inside the Ace3DS card vs the larger SD card that came with the 2DS?

Any assistance to clarify my confusion is greatly appreciated!

That's where you start to follow the NTRBoot guide. That switch "enables" NTRBoot on the card.
You switch it to 3ds mode (or whatever) and you boot via the magnet and install CFW.

Thanks. So are these 3 statements correct?

1) The 2DS has to boot up with the flashcard in.
2) The flashcard must contain a microSD card but the contents of that card do not matter
3) The "cia files" are installed FROM the 2DS SD card (not the microSD). Installed using the FBI app.

Everything is in the guide.
1. In order to install CFW, you are going to boot via the flashcard once.
2. Nope.
3. Yes, once you have CFW installed.

Thanks again. I guess the next obvious question would be: If I wanted to increase my 4GB SD card and keep all the cia I already installed.. do I simply bust out a 64GB card and copy all the contents from the 4GB and carry on?

you must make sure the card is formatted as fat32.

1) you have to boot whiel in sleep mode ONCE. once you run the safebs9installer you no longer need the card to be in 3ds mode.
2) this is CORRECT. you must have a sdcard in the ace3ds-x even if you are booting it in 3ds mode (but it can be any sd micro. blank or your one with ds games. this is different from pretty much all other cards.
