Account has zero permissions

Suddenly when I logged in on my account I find I have no post privileges and the following message at the top:

Attempts to send emails to [registered mail address] have failed. Please update your email.
Update your contact details

But when I click the link to update them or try to change my email in the settings, I get blocked because I don't have enough permissions to do this.
So I can't do anything because of some email issue but I can't change anything about it because I can't do anything.

I am having the same issue with my account. I can't send PMs on this alt one I created either due to 5 forum post requirement.
