Future prevention steps
First: Never use Youtube videos. They are always out of date.
Second: Research, make sure all of your information is up to date.
Third: Double, even triple check all of your files. Better safe than bricked.
Fourth: When in doubt, check the stickies. When in real doubt, ask here
Finally: Please never use youtube, I can't stress this enough. Youtube videos never update fast enough to keep with the scene.

send it to nintedo they may update it to 11.0 but its better then having a bricked limted edition 3ds and you will still be able to downgrade it with field runners if you have another cfw 3ds you will still have to pay to get it fixed but it costs lest then a new system

hi guys, im sorry for reviving this old thread of mine, but im just wondering if theres a new method regarding unbricking 3ds without nand back up now? thanks in advance

omg thank you so much, i feel so happy there is still hope : ) ahmm but is there a other way to unbrick it using hardmod ? in case or the link you gave me is the only way for now? thx again

@GizmoTheGreen but i dont have a back up of the nand, is still applicable? thanks :)

yes, you use the hardmod to take a backup of your current nand, then apply the b9s to that backup, then flash it back to your 3ds. now you can boot .firm payloads from SD indepedantly of your nand FW. use that to load Luma and chainload Godmode9 to CTR transfer, to fix your FW.

edit: or if you want to wait, you can wait for ntrboothax that will allow you to boot .firm payload from a NDS flashcart (which ones will work has not been announced yet) but you will need a CFW 3ds to install it to the cart. then your 3ds will boot immediately from that cart, load godmode9 and you can CTR transfer and fix your FW :)

You have to know what version software you bricked on as well....

@vb_encryption_vb i dont remember what version it was when i bricked it, i flashed it to the wrong firmware , i have old 3ds xl which i flash it to a new 3ds xl firmware lol haha

@GizmoTheGreen thanks again for answering my questions :)

i cant wait for that mod to be release and i dont have other 3ds, so maybe ill try what you give me, my problem is i cant remember which firmware i have use when i got the brick maybe its 10.3 coz that time im trying to downgrade my 3ds to 10.3

i have a friend who is good at soldering might as well try the hard mod of having to back up my current nand on my brick old 3ds xl, then apply the b9s to my backup, then flash it back to my 3ds,

ahmm did someone already tried this and successfully unbrick there 3ds?

Of course people have tested it. Otherwise it wouldn't be a method on the guide™.

I would just recommend you wait for NTRBootHax thingy. It's probably a lot safer and smoother to fix your 3ds with.

i see, thank you so much so its pretty much straight forward tutorial right, will try later, :)

@linuxares i dont know but i have a feeling it will take a while before it will be release and i think there is no risk on the method they gave me?
