Homebrew access Wii shop + softmod

Hello,
have a request about updating wiishop channel for an european wii v4.1e

Lately, for my child, I use wii to access youtube by wiimc,
but Youtube stop access to online video for this application.

So i want to install official youtube channel, but wii ask me to update.

is it safe? there are necessary steps to do before ?

I updated my shop channel and nothing happened. It should be safe.

I tried to update the shop channel, but couldn't for some reason. I used ModMii to update to the latest firmware and shop channel, and it worked like a charm

solved,
with pimp my wii, install last wii shop version, than install youtube channel without problem.

One word ModMii, search for it here in GbaTemp, its a windows app that gives you everything you need to re/softmod your wii.
And for the youtube channel I think it isnt still out in europe. Install this (Youtube channel) with the MultiModManager you get from modmii: http://www.mediafire.com/?2b6zr6h0zdc7m9m
