Main issue is poor single core performance on the underclocked arm cores of the switch. (something such as a snapdragon 835 - even when throttled has double the performance per core) and even then just about manages decent speed on some games (Mario kart etc). I think for some games (and using speedhacks - underclock emulated gamecube cpu in emulator etc) its possible to get some games to run fairly well on the switch potentially

Dont Worry using Lakka or ArchLinux the switch is running at 1,9 Ghz

That's more like it :-) Even though its performance will still not be as good as the arm cpu's on the snapdragon 835/845. The switch should hopefully be able to maintain a stable speed with less throttling due to the fan. Battery life unfortunately would take a hit more (dependant on overall cpu/gpu usage on average

I see you like digging old topics. :P

Sometimes, I make some of these posts while I'm on my whopping 20 minute breaks at work, so I don't really have the time to check for things like the dates of the original posts. XD I just wanted to give the best laymen's explanation I could of what Vulkan is, in a nutshell.

Like, I know it isn't just "Better OpenGL", I'm sure it's more complex than that, but given that's what people were using to get things to work in Linux before DXVK arrived on the scene, I'd say it's enough for people to at least get started!
