Hardware About the HDD and the dock...

What's up people? Today I am bringing back another debate on how could Nintendo manage to make HDD finally usable on the dock!

First, how will the player be able to take console out of dock without waiting?
Answer : Savegames remains in the console as well for the existing games.
HDD will not allow user to download games already installed in the console/micro SD card. Although, players could move or copy their DLC, update and update data to the hard drive.

In games, player can select to sync savegame with HDD or Console. If HDD, it makes a second savegame with {HDD} next to it.

USB 2 speed are not THAT good for external HDD to be fair. I don't think the USB 2.0 is enough for Switch game to run correctly. (i can be wrong though)

USB 2.0 is ~ 28MB/s. SD card in Switch ~10. It's far than enough.

It should be possible but Im not sure anyone will bother making it work.
