So, the DLCs' files are still there, but the game doesn't notice them... :/

I tried to delete the DLCs using my modified wupserver and then I reinstalled the DLCs, everything worked!

BUT... The same error occurs when restarting the console...

This bug occurs when installing DLC from eShop too!

Then, it's definitely a problem from redNAND itself!

Same issue here. Installed MK8 DLC through System Config Tool, and after reboot it no longer worked.

I have sysNAND and redNAND linked (haven't formatted, don't want to), and MK8 was installed through the Brazilian method. Any chance that's screwing with it?

From what I understand, as the tools are unstable, the NANDs are still partially linked. Indeed, the USB and tickets are still loaded from your SysNAND, even thought you are on RedNAND. that's why you can see your games installed in RedNAND from SysNAND. That may be the cause of some problems.

Im guessing that its the same issue with the 3ds where if you have bought atleast 1 DLC it checks the tickets to see what you have and removed what you don't own. But this must check it on bootup just like it checks for unsigned code at bootup...
Is this the case for people all having this issue? If there is someone that hasn't bought DLC and are still having this issue, then its most likely a RedNAND issue instead.

That's not the case, I tried it with the free MK8 DLC and that bug still occurs.

So you're saying that if you install the game and DLC to a USB rather than the system, the DLC will survive reboots?
I was just about to setup RedNAND today. Looks like I got a bit more reading to do before then.
yep, I have installed MK8 DLC and Injustice Gods Among Us DLC on USB and they are still working after several reboots and even playing the games on sysNAND. Not unlinked.

By playing them on sysnand, you mean the games right and not the DLC?
Also are the saves shared between sysnand and rednand?

Someone needs to make a rednand documentation thread about do's and don'ts and what works

are you just installing dlc from funkiiu? or are you downloading the main game aswell?

@MattKimura yes, I meant the games. Gameswere playable ofcourse without DLC on sysnand but if I switched to rednand the DLC were still there.
Saves are not shared, sys-and rednand uses different saves. What's logical because rednand is on sd card's partition and not at WiiU's internal memory.

:edit:
@Irastris Are you sure ? My sysNand and redNand are linked and my savegames are different.

Last edited by DaBlackDeath,
AFAIK, as long as you leave the sysNAND and redNAND linked, saves will work between both.

That's how it works for me anyways.
So you say that your saves are shared between the two.
BlackDeath says that his saves aren't shared between the two while his games are installed to USB and linked nands. Are your games installed to internal memory @Irastris ?

That might be a difference in terms of when saves are shared or not, USB vs Internal
