Hacking A9LH questions

1) I don't think the process formats your SD at all
2) No idea
3) Better boot times and bootrate for CFWs, ability to run latest sysNAND with sig patches and what's basically a recovery menu. It's pretty sweet.

I've installed A9LH on four of my systems without error so far. Dumping the OTP is the most time consuming part, but with the guides available, you shouldn't run into any issues ^^

1) Yes and no, backup the files first or use a different SD card

2) after its installed you can recover using the a9lh version of D9 to restore a backup

3) Boot times, being able to use sysNAND (aureinand) more to come

Just get emuNAND, else you'll run a much higher risk of bricking your sysNAND.

If you're really sure, it can be done on sysNAND, I just REALLY don't recommend it. Even if you have a N3DS coming, a console is still precious ;-;

Why are you injecting cubic ninja?
