I made a quick animation in After Effects.
Really great work, thanks for sharing it

Sure, I'd like to convert it myself as I'm not on a release build
If you're on the experimental branch just drop the bottom screen. I have to work on either figuring out the delays to get both screens working 100% speed or how much the fps needs to be cut.I'm also not on a release build, could you upload your converts when you're done? Cuz that animation is great and I put it on my N3DS, but it's definitely not running at a smooth 30FPS.

Speaking of, @KitsumiTheFox what are the chances of you being able to come up with stuff at 5, 10, 15, and 20 fps? For science purposes.
Less an issue with the bottom screen, more of the loading isn't exactly optimized yet. But I'll be sure to get back to you once I figure it out with stuff that runs correctly.Ah didn't realize that was an issue with the bottom screen. I'll just remove the bottom screen animation for now.

Should be relatively easy to make even on something like Blender (I'm afraid Sketchup isn't up to the task ). Just create a cube, texture it (probably the hardest part to get right) and render it. Then you can convert it as an animation. As I am looking though these, I think It would be really cool to see one like the N64 logo (the spinning "N") but with the 3DS letters. Kinda like we have as the little icons next to the 3DS section on the forums page.
I could make stuff with 5, 10, 15, 20 if you want me tooIf you're on the experimental branch just drop the bottom screen. I have to work on either figuring out the delays to get both screens working 100% speed or how much the fps needs to be cut.

most likely at 30 fp
it looks fantastic, make more.
i made another, and it plays the animation really nicely for me.

i opened the original linked gif in photoshop, copied the frames 3 times so it was longer but not 5 seconds long.. saved, chose 24fps in the sccript thing, but mine version is not as smooth as your version.Heres a 5s loop at 24fps

I would appreciate if you do, then we could probably stop having to cut frame rates. I would just need the original duration, frame rate and of course the animation.I could make stuff with 5, 10, 15, 20 if you want me too
oh thank you so much, and yes maybe using photoshop isn't the best for stuff like this!@cearp I used Premier Pro to edit it and rendered it to a gif at 24fps. Try taking the one I extended and convert it at 12fps, should be better on the 3ds. The current release build will run 100% speed when there is only 1 screen with an animation and its original fps was split in half. I can see what I can do with yours.
Finally, got my setup done. I know that this boot animation is a little specific, but depending on the interest, I'd be willing to make a few variations.
BootAnim9 with this GIF
BootCtr9 with this splash. Wait 2.5 sec for input or default to EmuNand.
Then, after something is selected, one of the 4 screens show with BootCtr9.
I made a new 3DS animation, it has every framerate(including 60)
It also has a O3DS and N3DS version.

You can just rename them.do i need to do anything to the rgb files or just rename them?
I don't really like pitch black, but If you tell me framerate and N/O3DS I'll make one for youthese look great, but can you darken the background of the animation? the black background looks abit white, like it is not completely pitch black .
