Edit: Forgot to mention that it's only available for ruby and sapphire.

Yeah. That would help just a bit more. I tried everything for emerald lol and no joy for me.

U version. There is a little problem with the sound but only in the menu. Once you race the sound is perfect.

So let me get this straight. I can play pokemon games such as FireRed if I SRAM patch and follow your guide? Does anyone have screenshots or videos of them playing pokemon GBA games on their SCDSTwo?
Theoretically yes, if you follow this guide, you can play those Pokemon games. I haven't tried it myself, because I don't have a DSTwo yet, but I'll test it when I do get one.

Some quotes from the forum:

"My clean pokemon roms work fine on a vanilla install of the GBA Emulator without any of the workarounds you've posted. I'm not sure why this seems to be happening, though, because my first attempt left me with white screens, and when I switched sources they worked fine." -Kentoss

"tested pokemon fire red and it's working but emerald not working at all

it freezes as soon as i load the game" -aingmah

As you can see, no one has provided proof that it works. Try to get the cleanest ROM you can find, then try to play them. If that still doesn't work, try the steps provided.

I can test it myself, but that won't be for another month or so, and this may be long forgotten (and hopefully solved) by then.

Yes, the Pokemon games (including Pokemon Emerald) have to be patched with a SRAM fix They will still give you an internal battery is dry warning but otherwise they are perfectly playable. I found the original dump by Trashman of Pokemon Emerald. The dump would not run until I patched it with the save fix patch that they included.

Hmm... do you think Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland will work with this "SRAM patch" thingy?
It freezes in the title screen, making it unplayable.

Look on filetrip for "GBAta" and get that, pretty easy to use.

Just downloaded it, but for some reason, after opening the file (Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland)
it won't let me to SRAM patch it :/
It does work for Pokemon, though.

I love GBAta...So easy to use, but I digress.

The Medabots AX and Medabots games work like a charm.
I don't know about Medabot Navi (though I can try cause I
never knew it existed)

Could someone test Goomba Color with a few games (like Zelda: OoS/OoA and Kirby Dream Land 2) to see how well they run?

If you copy the game_config.txt into the NDSGBA folder in the root of the microSD card it will allow unpatched versions of Pokemon, Super Mario Advance 4, Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland, Tales of Phantasia, Dragon Ball Z Legacy of Goku II (J) and probably many others to run without problems!

Credits go to the original compilers of the game_config.txt for gPSP.

Credit to raing3 for this post over on the Supercard forum.

also fixes Shining Soul for those of you that want to play it, and Ninja Five-O (I thinkthat's what it's called >,,<

anyways the game_config.txt can be found:-

Mediafire: game_config.txt
Filetrip: game_config.txt

Wait you wanna emulate an emulator?
Why don't you just put lameboy on your card?

EDIT: Some requests for testing:
-The GBA Fire Emblem games (I know they're in the list, but the list doesn't say whether or not they work.)
-The GBA Pokémon games
-The GBA F-Zero games (including Climax please, Maximum Velocity is not needed but would be appreciated)

I don't like having to load the menu to tell it to save the game data (mainly cause I always forget to.)
Also, I already have a large amount of progress on those games through Goomba, and it is a pain to rip the gameboy save from the gba save.
Mainly the menu to save thing though.

Thanks a lot, Kirby works great!
TC should update the first post... or maybe someone else should open a topic - one that actually updates.
