I can confirm that Super Mario Advance 4 works brilliantly. Well no not really. It's a tad laggy.

If you copy the game_config.txt into the NDSGBA folder in the root of the microSD card it will allow unpatched versions of Pokemon, Super Mario Advance 4, Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland, Tales of Phantasia, Dragon Ball Z Legacy of Goku II (J) and probably many others to run without problems!

Credits go to the original compilers of the game_config.txt for gPSP.

Credit to raing3 for this post over on the Supercard forum.

also fixes Shining Soul for those of you that want to play it, and Ninja Five-O (I thinkthat's what it's called >,,<

anyways the game_config.txt can be found:-

Mediafire: game_config.txt
Filetrip: game_config.txt
With this are you able to save pokemon games just fine?

Yes I believe you can, but don't quote me on that one

Raing3! and the original people for the "game_config.txt" THANK YOU!!!

Pokemon FireRed works!!!

It should also work with other pokemon games!

Update this file in the first post! And also you can save now!

I used the game_config.txt fix with Super Mario Advance 4. The game loads up fine,but when you shut the DS off and run the game again the save gets deleted.

EDIT: Some requests for testing:
-The GBA Fire Emblem games (I know they're in the list, but the list doesn't say whether or not they work.)
-The GBA Pokémon games
-The GBA F-Zero games (including Climax please, Maximum Velocity is not needed but would be appreciated)
0041 - F-Zero - Maximum Velocity (U)(Mode7) - working fine except for the track map (it's not shown if frame skip is set to 1 and flickers on settings above)
1661 - F-Zero GP Legend (U)(Rising Sun) - working fine (frame skip set to 1)

# Robopon 2 - Cross Version (U)
game_name = ROBOPON2CROS
game_code = ACVE
vender_code = EB
iwram_stack_optimize = no

# Robopon 2 - Ring Version (U)
game_name = ROBOPON2RING
game_code = ARPE
vender_code = EB
iwram_stack_optimize = no

Add this to the game_config.txt and Robopon 2 USA versions will work but they are still a little buggy. The game may reset randomly when talking to people or other things.

Also Tales of Phantasia will run with the provided game_config.txt that was linked a few posts back.

Which version of GPSP was that game config lifted from?
It looks like it is the last one but with some custom additions plus I have added a couple more games to that game_config.txt see my above post.

Don't double post

there's an edit button for a reason, and don't give the but I wanted to quote him excuse, open the quote window copy the quote text and then edit your previous post.

(sorry has to be said)

Yeah I think this is the latest game_config.txt and you can add your own too it if you know what your doing or know how to use google e.t.c.

I compared Robopon 2 to the japanese versions listed in the game_config.txt and then looked at the gba games in GBATA to get the correct Vendor and Serial codes. Booted up great after that.

And I would have edited it in but I had quoted/posted and then realized my mistake. So I intended to delete my post but it was already too late since it wouldn't let me. Also the site doesn't merge double/sequential posts automatically unlike other sites I have been on.

Hmm... should I open a new topic that will include all the known working/non-working games?
I'll try updating it once a day, but not sure if it's really necessary...

I hope when you say that a game is working, it's working with sound and at full speed!

Because if you have to turn sound OFF, for me, it's not working great

Megaman and Bass (U) - Pefect
Mother 3 (J) - Slight lag, but otherwise perfect
Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland (E) - Freezes at title screen
Super Mario Bros. 3 (U) - Save data size is incorrect, so it fails to boot
Megaman Zero (E) Perfect
Pokemon Emerald (U) Clock features are broken, but otherwise perfect
Astro Boy: Omega Factor (E) Slight lag, but playable
Sonic Advance (E) A white screen with bars appears, and freezes

Thanks a lot mate!
Could anyone please test the remaining games on that list as well?

As for the Pokemon game - check my post on page 3

And as for the Fire Emblem games:

QUOTEFire Emblem 1 & 2 work decent with auto frameskip. They work perfect without frameskip with sound off.

was posted on the first page.

Kirby does work, all you gotta do is download the game_config.txt file that Darkway provided in the other page, and put it in your NDSGBA folder.

So anyway, should I open a new topic or not? :/

Well you could do, raing3 has one stickied but I find it kinda hard to follow all those games and not everything there was tested for the DSTWO,, if you want to do it and think you could keep it updated regularly and keep it in a decent format people will be able to understand then yeah go for it.

OK, I'll try making an organized list of games, and update it after the new GBA emulator (1.20) comes out
