Well maybe you have or haven't seen Nintendo's Face Training game that comes with a camera attachment for the bottom gba slot and maybe it could be used as a webcam and used to chat with with other people that have it or with computers? So can it be done?

wow, that's sweet. I would look into how GBA games work and how the gutair grip works and then just throwing random stuff at it until you figure out what's what. I'm sure there is an eaiser way but lol, first response right

I'm not sure if anyone over at GBAdev has figured out how to interact with the camera. Until they do, you might be out of luck.

well since I can't work on this until my ds face training get here fr dx (and will take a really long time) I'm starting a side project until then check out gizmocall.com you can make phone calls on it just like skype but I figure this will be easier to port into the ds they also have a free sms service and you get your own number

It supports voice calls, Instant Message, File Sharing, Video calls, and two-way text messaging.
I think I'm going to use this as my host for my app.

Just out of curiousity do you even know if the camera takes a constant video feed or if it just takes single shots?

Looking at videos on youtube demonstrating the game it takes constant video feed like a web cam.

yeah i intend to add support for slot-2 devices like a rumble pack will rumble when you receive a txt message

by the way I'm learning in the process of creating this but just so you everyone knows where I am in getting this to work, right now I'm studying gizmo5 for pc to what protocols go through it and out, so please be patient with me.

I don't think the DS has a high enough transfer rate. It can barely stream audio over the internet.

I'm not saying you can do all of them at the same time meaning that if you started vid chat you would have to sign out of any messenger you're in to improve the transfer rate but the video part will not be the highest of quality it might be like uhh I don't know 7 frames per second not very good but I think I can improve it.
