I've been having a strange problem with this emulator. I've been playing Fire Emblem: Monshou no Nazo (with a translation patch) and it worked fine up until I updated about a week or two ago. When I did, the game would not load (when I started the game, the Wii would either crash and reload the Homebrew Channel, or it would go to a black screen and become non-responsive). When I turned off the Wii and came back later, I updated again, but now, not only did the emulator not recognize the translation patch, but my save file was gone (which I now know is because a different version of SNES9xGX was used in the first update I downloaded, although I'm not sure why that caused the game not to load at all at first).

Recently, I hard-patched the ROM and tried again. The ROM loaded without any problems and the patch worked, but it did not save. When I reset and tried again, the Wii went to a non-responsive black screen after I tried to go to the save file menu. What could the problem be?

I know that now, but why has it stopped saving?
