Hacking a question and thank you

First i'd like to say thanks to all the posters.

I've now got a better understanding of how to install the soft mods and your informantion has been a real great help.


i would like to know though if anyone can answer a question.

I've checked out my wii for version and serial number and tried to compare them to what other people are using and have sucseffuly modded.


I bought my wii about 3 days ago and it is currently on

Version 4.0E

with serial number LEH24


is this ideal to mod or am i sitting on a potential brick???

If you bought it at 4.0 then its alittle tricker to mod..

LU64 serial numbers are the pain, as yours isn't you should be OK

thanks guys i'll have a good read through.


I wasn't to sure if the LU64 was specific to US models and thought the LEH24 maybe the Europe equivalent.

i noticed that using bootmii it seems a lot safer for recovering from a brick if the worst happens.

hopefully i've read that correct
