Needs Moonshell2 extlink.
Also, the nesDS_cheat version crashes on start up.

Really? It works lust fine for me. And it works on DSTWO's Plugin menu, replacing the old version.
Ah... found the culprit.
Doesn't like to be run through Moonshell2.
The non-cheat version works fine in Moonshell2.

I really only want 1 fix: The bricking DSi XL issue.

Well, I'd like some compatibility fixes, but that should come after.

Bricking DSi XLs? What? really?

Did a search on it. Yeah, apparently it HAS happened... Scary.

It doesn't brick the DSi XL, but it can cause image retention (burn in) if left on pause for too long (or even just used if the game has a static image, like Mario 3). Too long appears to be about 30 minutes as 15 minutes didn't do it. Fortunately, it can usually be fixed by running this (http://www.zawiarr.com/NDS/archive/LCD_Tester.zip) at maximum speed for 20 minutes to an hour (press start to begin, then up on the d-pad to increase the color cycling speed.

It's really nice to see a new emulation development on the DS scene. I've took a look on the cheat thing and seems to be only a simple tool to search and try cheats, but i can't name or save them on a file. It seems to work fine, i tried some cheats in Contra (U) and they work like a charm.

I have a really old NES emu I use on my DS, it doesn't have cheats but it has something really awesome....

Rewind!!! I can be playing SMB and fall down a pit, hit the L button and watch myself fall up out of the pit and start playing from as far back as like 10 seconds (I think its that far back but I am not sure)

Its like a cheat for every game... lol

I wish more emulators had this feature!

That is NesDS. It was the first emulator to have that feature, the one for the PSP got it later. The problem with that feature is that it has to store the last X seconds of gameplay, including CPU instructions, graphics, and sound which makes it hard to do for anything more complicated than the NES.

@GreatCrippler Punch-Out!! graphics are screwed in this version of NesDS, but it works great in the old version.

@JonthanD Yes, i like that feature too, but it's also present on this version of the emu so you can still use the rewind option.

Actually, the feature is present in ApprenticeMinusDS 0.4 as well, but It's a little less "pretty", so to speak - when rewinding it does not show every frame of the gameplay being rewound like NESDS does...Then again, SMS and GG aren't too far off from the nintendy itself (though they ARE more colorful).

So, at least we know what "cheats" are now, lol. They work, cool. Definitely getting this guy on my DSTWO once I get it.

VisualBoyAdvance has had the rewind feature 2 years before nesDS. And I'm pretty sure that there were emulators before VBA that had the rewind feature.

I think he means the first emu ON THE DS to have the feature...

Which version does it run great in? I have a couple of different versions. The graphics in Punchout are messed up in all of them.

A guy from Pocket Heaven called nibbles27 has updated the NesDS code to fix various graphics errors in NesDS including Punch-Out!!. Some of the text still a bit messed up, but the gameplay is perfect. You can download it here: http://filetrip.net/f8405-nesDS-102309.html

Did it actually have rewind, or just save states? Emulators have had save states for quite a while but I think nesDS was the first to actually support rewinding.

It actually had rewind, but it functioned differently than nesDS's rewind. VBA's rewind was a frame-by-frame type of thing though (as in, it rewinds in intervals rather than the smooth rewinding you get in nesDS).
