if you are sure of your update folder , and you are 100% files are correct , try the julian20 sysupdater , it has more success rate

Im gonna try again tonight.Before I used that I used the thing that scans your files on the 3DS and they all came back fine.Is it a common occurrence to just get a black screen straight away?

not all the time . you can try a different entry point( install menu hax for exemple) , also since you are using ironhax , don(t forget to remove any dns config , in case something goes wrong with downgrading

Ive been trying it through Browserhax and Ironhax.Is Menuhax better? And does Menu hax let you use Homebrew without a net connection?
