Well I am finally getting my internet back, but Comcast doesn't seem to have a wireless router for some stupid reason, so I need to buy one. Does anyone know where I can get a good one that is also very cheap? Somewhere between 20$ to the highest 50$?
Just talked to Mike, he told me to up it from 40$ to 50$

Like always, I recommend the WRT54G.
You mean this one?

Yep. Nothing better than that. (at least that I have found) Slap on Tomato or DD-WRT firmware and you have a $200 router for less than a quarter of the cost.

It's going to break my heart when they discontinue the model.

I have personally found that D-Link routers are superior. Haven't had has many issues with them. Linksys routers and I don't agree for some reason.

It's a while since I used a Linksys router though...

Well I found one like a few bucks over my price, but I don't mind paying a little extra since it seems really good and I have had a lot of luck with Linksy brands before.

I never really had much luck with D-Link, my last few were D-Link and they broke really easily.

I've been using a Buffalo AirStation router (http://www.buffalotech.com) for a few years now and it works GREAT! Easy setup, also has one button setup (AOSS) for gaming devices. Fast, reliable, secure, and great signal. Even my brother who lives about 4 houses away from me can connect with his laptop when I allow him. I currently have 3 pcs, 1 laptop, 1 Xbox 360, 1 PS3, 1 Wii, 2 3DS, 2 DSI, 3 DS, 1 psp, and 1 Vita hooked up to it. At the time I bought it I believe it was $58 bucks.

Try Amazon for the Buffalo airstation. They have a good selection, I saw one for $30 bucks, 46, 55, 47, 57, and then they have them for more as well.

I never heard of that site nor brand, but it does look pretty good. Can anyone confirm anything about this site or that router?

Very good and very cheap. Installed this for my uncle, and it's worked without a hitch.

It's a legit site, I buy all my cables from there, never had problems.

As for routers that support DD-WRT, there's a lot. http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Supported_Devices
As for routers that support Tomato, that's a different story http://www.polarcloud.com/tomatofaq#what_will_this_run_on

And for the WRT54G, you might want to look into the open source version WRT54GL for the most compatibility with third party firmware.

I have a WRT54GS v6 with official firmware on it and I tell ya its amazing for how old it is. If you want you can flash a custom firmware like tomato on it too so you can increase speeds and signal strength. Buying one would be cheap too since it is quite old and quite popular sadly there is one problem. This router supports wireless B and G but not N, luckly most (99%) of all wireless gadgets use B/G/N and not just N. Security is good if you know about WPA2 and MAC filtering and I also encrypt my config password too.

EDIT: Note that I'm the 2nd person recommending this and you could probably find this quite cheap on craigslist. I bought mine used for $20 (LOL) and its lasted me like 5 years with no problems at all. (Except some DNS problems that were fixed after power outage)
