Gaming A friend wants to buy a PSP

Hi,
I got a friend who wants to buy a PSP, and he asks about CFW, such as M33.
I have a PSP 1000, so idk, but does PSP ver 3000's are hackable? I mean, by installin a CFW such as M33?
Because my friend read that 3000's are non-hackable, and that he should get 2000.
Any fast explenations would be great

Well the psp 3000 can't have cfw flashed and most of the newer 2000 also have unhackable motherboards but you can still play iso and homebrew on those psps if the firmware is 5.03 and you have ChickHEN R2 and CFWenabler running. Just don't shutdown the psp completely because you will have to run ChickHEN R2 all over again and it might take a while to work.
