Homebrew 90DNS alternative for 3ds

For whatever reason my friend wants to be able to temporarily disable internet services so he can play pokemon rom hacks. Is there some sort of 90DNS type setup that allows blocking of nintendo servers via DNS?

90DNS works on Nintendo 3DS the same way it does on Nintendo Switch. Just put in the same DNS settings and it will still block out the Nintendo servers

I wouldn't worry about it, 3ds bans are not nearly as common as switch bans. Only people I heard of getting banned are who used cheats and hacks online (not connected online, but just in online multiplayer. Plus its easier to just disable wifi
