8BitDo have made quite a name for themselves with their Switch controllers and accessories as of late, and the latest offering is just around the corner. The new SN30 Pro+ is compatible with Windows, Android, macOS, Raspberry Pi, and perhaps most interestingly, the Nintendo Switch. This is no regular controller, however, as it has a number of unique customisable features, including button remapping, trigger sensitivity, and even custom macros, to be controlled by their new '8BitDo Ultimate Software'. It releases on August 7th, for a retail price of $49.99.

Most of the current 8bitdo pads support the switch already. The original sn30 pro already had home and Screenshot buttons

Alright. I have two SFC30s and four M30s myself. When paired to the Switch, these controllers work like a charm. The lag is so minimal that I barely notice it, but the buttons are all fucked up on the M30s. Still, when properly configured, the M30 has a better d-pad than anything else for the Switch out there. When paired to anything else via BT, be it Windows 10 or Android, there's lag everywhere that makes fighting games (and any game that requires really fast reaction times) unplayable on both! On the ODroid XU4, pairing it is a bitch, but when it does pair, it's like a dream come true, with some of the bad amounts of lag you'd notice on Android at times...until you power the system off and discover that it won't pair to the SBC until you do the entire process of re-pairing it with the device. I'm running THERA 3.0 (the best emulation solution for the device that I'm aware of) on the XU4, so I'm not sure if that's something exclusive to that solution or not.

And. regarding the A-power controller, it works on PC and Switch...but no android. I really want to know if this one DOES work on android.

Yes it also do work on android as many of their other controllers

the sf30pro wireless (not the new wired one) has motion controls, lol. i used it when playing zelda to aim my bow

Yeah the motion sensor is a fundamentaly important feature if we gonna use it on the Nintendo switch

I recently ordered SN 30 Pro, 8bitdo have very good reputation as controller maker - their controllers have ability to upgrade their firmware. Cheap but well builded devices

Very much thinking of getting this if the D-pad is up to spec. Just had my 4th (!) pair of Joy-cons start drifting even though I take immaculate care of them, and the Switch Pro Controller has an awful d-pad even on the revised model.

You can repair them you know, even put a custom case on while your at it. Haven't done it with joycons yet, but it should be pretty simple.

no HD rumble, no deal. I just returned a nintendo branded pirate pro controller, with a lousy rumble. It made such a HF noise, that it was a big pain for my ears. Next one will have propper HD and even if this means to buy the original and pay a fortune

There are two other color options. There's one that supposedly mimics the classic gameboy color scheme, and another which is pretty much solid black. As far as the button spacing goes, it looks exactly the same as the original SNES controller, or at least there's not a lot of deviation.

I'm not going to lie. I really wish they had made this in the SFC four color scheme. It's at least nice to see it's got grips.

Hope they've fixed the D-pad sensitivity problem, if you change from left to right too fast it would also press down on the dpad, if you were playing something like Mario were the pressing down on air will make Mario pound the ground using 8bitdo's controller would be a nightmare.

Hi peeps had anyone used these to play Splatoon 2 using motion controls? How do these fare compared to the official pro controller?

Any noticeable degradation? Or do the motion controls function exactly the same?
