So, a friend of mine has a dead-on-arrival 2GB DS-X.
(Long story, eventually he got a refund for it.)

I have a working 512MB, which I have no real use for (I have now an AK2).
I was wondering if someone ever tried soldering the NAND from a 2GB to a 512MB..?
If not, someone knows if there are differences in the pcb, except for the NAND?

True, but I asked if someone has done it, back in the day.

It can also be a good card for little kids. I'm planning to sell it, and it'll probably raise the price if it has 2gigs.
(People are selling in Israel R4's for a huge price, so I won't be such an asshole for selling an abandonware. Oh well.

When the 2GB came out I asked this question to Aphex. He told me it is possible to do.
