The original porter MasterFeizz, has been inactive for quite some time: I thought I'd maybe help spark some interest back into the project.

OFFICIALLY DEAD!!!​

Update: ROMs booting in normal mode, crashing in vertical mode: multi-threading is still broken, so is sound, that uses it. Thank you to Jpe230 for debugging a hidden SDL2 font error, that prevented ROMs booting (Don't ask, I have no idea how it did this, but it did). Compiled with LibNX[1.4.1].

Update: due to the latest release of LibNX[1.4.0], the newest unreleased versions of DeSmuME-NX will fail to boot ROMs. I had trouble compiling on the latest version, after workarounds, a few changes to the code and a different compiler version: I was able to get a bootable application, but because of multi-threading now being broken, it fails to boot a ROM.


Update: the original porter has removed the repository from their GitHub page!


Update: as it appears the original porter has abandoned the project, who will take over and reignite the flame of emulation?

Featuring:

• Vertical/Portrait Mod with calibrated and working Virtual DS Touchscreen.
• New Temporary SDL2 Menu System.
• Toggle in the main menu to enable/disable portrait mode.
• An actual Homebrew Menu Icon.

It runs quite bad, but it's playable: when it doesn't crash
Just don't try running something like, mario 64 DS.

Don't worry, when you start working on it we'll give you (moral) support. You'll be the hero the Switch Hacking community needs, but also the one we don't deserve.

I would work on this but I'm not a emulation g0d. I just want to be able to play DS games reliably on the Switch. :c

I hope somebody does this just because I long to play Last Window, after playing and enjoying the hell out of Hotel Dusk on a friend's borrowed DS years ago. But I've tried that game in emulators on my Macbook Pro and it's unplayably slow, so I don't hold out a huge amount of hope of playability on Switch.

I think you misunderstand, I put that text there saying ME<MYSELF<I don't know that much about emulation.
Why does everyone think I'm being rude?

Maybe none of you are seeing the pole up top, or possibly thinking it's an ad?

Hi, I've tried to run it but I only get an error code (2168-0002)
I'm on 5.1.0 maybe that the reason.
EDIT:Nvm, i got it working, it was my error
