I at least know how networking works, and I can tell you that my URL filtering setup is flawlessly blocking updates on my WiiU MAC adress only.

I would recommend trying crediar's link. It seems to work on any wii u provided it's setup for the server correctly.

Thats for 5.5.0? Or 5.4.0? I'm on 5.4.0, and it freezes my wii u and gives me a black screen, but no hello world.
