So, is now the right time to go to a store and get a PS4 Pro? How are the odds of getting one <= 5.05? How are the odds of getting a kernel-exploit additionally to that userland entry point?

If you can find a pro on 4.55 or lower you would be in an ideal situation.

I think that's quite a difficult task nowdays, at least of you don't want to spend a fortune. Which firmware are most of the pros in the stores on?

This is pretty cool, even though I don't know what this means for us 5.05 users. I don't quite understand what a "userland exploit" is. I'm guessing this means I should continue to hang around 5.05 and not update if I want to hope for backup access sometime in the future, right?

Hold fire until the scene says so: but you maye have to update via usb to 4.55 when the time comes.

Perhaps it works on specific fws, perhaps you need clear cookies or do something else.

That's the link I tried on my 4.50 pro but no joy. I expect it maybe something to do with the ROP chain/gadget list needing backporting to work with pre 5.0x firmware offsets.

This exploit current implementation doesn't seem to work on 4.55: I tried several times and always get "Error leaking: Not found" (or a browser memory error).

Did you mean supersampling mode? that got added in later firmware.

It worked.
I had to downgrade from 5.50 beta to 5.05 to test this out, it also dumped some .sprx files as well.

Why did you go through all of that? I just tried it on 5.50 Beta 3 and it worked. Although I'm suspecting Beta 4+ and the final will have this patched. I might roll back to 5.05.

Boost Mode was added in 4.50.
Supersampling was added in the 5.50 beta.
