Yeah it's really buggy. From 10 CIAs, 2 worked.
Also, what's the difference between "Devmenu" and "BigBlueMenu"? Does it make some CIAs work that the other doesn't?

BigBlueMenu is a newer version of Devmenu, that's all. I don't think it matters which one you use.

Yeah, that's what I did to fix it.

You can't run the CFW on any other Firmware than 4.x. Firmware 9.x has another encryption and CFW won't boot (so no CFW on any other firmware than 4.x).
You could run RedNAND (4.2 CFW) on one SD Card and your 9.4 EmuNAND on another SD Card.

for some bizarre reason
when I try to connect with my 3ds it says failed to connect and when
I search for my ip it doesn't give me i.e 123.456.7.890
it gives me 10.0.0.10 as my 3ds IP
any way to fix this issue

It's not open source :/ So it will be hard to fix it, someone has to RE it

smething i noticed is that if you press on the lower screen as soon as it turns white and "freezes" it tends to work more often.
