Hacking 4.80 Software

I installed a new HDD into my PS3 Slim but cant seem to find the software for it. I found the 201mb file, but full system is 900mb roughly. Anyone know where to find this, this is tricky..

Nope, its a stock system. I had it years back now with no HDD in it. Just bought a 500gb and installed it. But cannot install the software.

Is it a FAT32 formatted USB stick (not NTFS/ex-fat/etc)? In the PS3\UPDATE directory? Called PS3UPDAT.PUP?

That's correct, my USB ports both work too as the USB flashes whilst its plugged in.

Then you're doing something wrong or your USB doesn't work properly. As everything you're telling us you're trying is right. I would try a different usb

I've tried 3 usb sticks. Now going to try a MicroSD in a USB adapter, lets see if that works.

That didn't work either. I tried this in another PS3 aswell and get the same error. What could I be doing wrong :/

4.82 should install just fine. Can you send us a screenshot of the directory you have the file on your USB device?

You should be fine with 4.82. Either the files not in the right place or it's corrupt.

Tried to redownload on the same network 7 times now and still the same error.
