I am wondering if anyone could provide some answers. Does 4.3b or CIOS r17 cause problems with hard modded wii? I tried updating my machine..after it's done.. my wii had trouble reading discs that I copied...possible some out of region games. The wii channel won't show the disc..and some of them leads to an read error and it ask me to turn machine off. No blue screen or hang machine though.
So I downgraded the system menu to 4.0 and move it up to 4.1 as I had before....still had similar problems with some of the copied discs....it wasn't until I reintalled CIOS r14 that everything seem to work fine again. So I wonder if these are known issues? I read somewhere that 4.3 won't work with Wiikey chip for region free function? Is that true....or is it just related to the CIOS r17?
