Whether your emuNAND is 4.1 or 4.5 makes no difference if you are updating it anyway. That should be self explanatory.
No my console is on original firmware of 4.2 .Any video I seen on youtube on how to update gateway emunand show consoles on 4.5 just curious if there was a reason or was it just a coincidence

they are the same, it doenst matter if is 4.1 or 4.5 or 4.2. exactly the same process...
