Hacking 3k3y compatability with 2100x and 2000x models?

Hi, i'am wondering if I buy a 2000x or 2100x ps3 will 3k3y work with the console without need for the drive key extraction? If so which 3k3y should I buy to have solderless installation the PATA or SATA model?

I'm not sure if 3k3y released the needed adapter for 200x and 2100x. Without the adapter you can't use 3k3y on those two models. Last time I check the team is still busy with 300x and 400x.

PATA is for some early PS3 FAT. You are looking at SATA.

ahh I see. So will the 3k3y for said consoles require a drive key dump when/if and adapter is made? Or are all ps3 models now free from needing the key dumped?

oh I thought PATA was for all phats and 2100x and 2000x and the rest were SATA, I must have been mistaken. So the SATA for the 2100x and 2000x are still solderless?

You can use the drive key dump or not use it. Using drive key is preferable if possible, since it makes it much harder for Sony to distinguish between real drive and ODE.

You can definitely use it without the key.

Yes 200x and 210x are solderless.

thank you sir you have been a huge help, I don't intend on going online with the ps3 so it works out fine, now I guess I just wait for a 2100x and 2000x compatable SATA 3k3y.
