Hey,

I got a *.3dz ROM patched with a private header which only me and my friend has. I would like to use this ROM with my Sky3DS, but as far as I understand, if I use this .3dz rom with DiskWriter, it will overwrite the header with the one in the Sky3DS template. Do I get it right?
If so, how can I use the .3dz ROM with private header on my Sky3DS? Can I extract the header from that file to reinject it in the template file?
Any suggestions?

Thanx in advance.

Best regards,

tpax

You simply have to rip the header from the game and edit the sky3ds template header entry for that game.

Ok thank you mate, helped me a lot. Just one more question, for example for Super Smash Bros, can I use any private header from any game? Or does the header has to be dumped exactly from Super Smash Bros, and not from eg. Street Fighter or any other game?

You can do that, apparently no one (yet?) has reported being banned so.

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:

@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)
