Hi! Is There A Way To Fix YouTube App For 3DS. Or Can I Install New 3DS Internet Browser CIA On My Old 3DS. Everytime It Shows The Support Has Ended Message. Actually YouTube App Is A Web Browser Connects To m.youtube.com But YouTube Website Understands The User Agent Then Sends Support Has Ended Message. Can We Edit The User Agent Of 3DS YouTube App CIA? Thanks.

no. 3ds YouTube is outdated and done. period. Go use a cellphone if you are still wanting portable youtube access.

There needs to be a way. Someone should port chrome browser to the ds or something...

I know it isn't that simple, just a request.

the app data is way too outdated. use a damned cellphone or something seeing as most kids nowadays have at least one. Its going to be the only way.

Yea I can just use my phone but I thought the 3DS hardware is perfectly capable to view youtube... It even has a Netflix app which I think does work.

It is. but the program its based on doesnt work anymore. It would likely be a thing now if youtube were to make a new app, but they likely wouldnt. Netflix wont anymore. They were idiots and canned every mobile device from being able to work. its like only tvs netflix will work from now.

Yeah, but the "dedicated app" sucks - it would likely suck less by pointing it to invidio.us but it's still fundamentally flawed

Which isn't trivial - I already tried years ago to just change the homepage in the executable, no deal

YouTube still works with the 3DS browser. You just have to request YouTube for mobile devices and it should run (with a less comfortable interface).

Sadly I get an error when doing so.
Funny enough watching porn (not enjoyable) is possible so I don't think the (New) 3DS hasn't lost the ability to render videos.

give what a try. there aint nothing to fix. You could try making a app from scratch but yt would likely have a strong say in that.
I don't think youtube ever cared about third party apps except maybe trying to break them by changing stuff on their site sometimes

Good lord, can we please lock this useless thread?
The YouTube app on the 3DS is dead. It's not being brought back, there's no point in bringing it back. Use the New 3DS's web browser to watch YouTube on the thing if you really want to, or you could just, ya know, be like a somewhat normal person and use YouTube on your cellphone or laptop. It's really not a hard concept to grasp.

I second that.

To be honest I don't know a whole lot about 3ds scripting. I've done a lot with iphone related jailbreaks and linux things but I don't know much about the 3ds. Do you know where I could learn about how it works?
