I have used this application on my pc and it's amazing. I have a question but I don't know if there may be someone who could answer it. The thing is a friend of mine has a pc with Ubuntu 11.10. I can get application to work correctly (with WINE) and it create the videos without problem but the interface does not show the progress bar moving (just being blank). Do anyone has any idea what could make it behave it like this if not don't worry it isn't really a bother as it still works perfectly. :)

It's because the progress bar relies on a feature of the windows command prompt (ability to write output from cmd line programs to a text file), which is probably possible on Linux, but would require different syntax. In other words, it would have to be changed to suit Linux.

... out of curiosity, does a 480x240 lag also?

yes. but i noticed that when i use 480x 240 and i take a still frame picture, there are black bars whereas there aren't any if i use the default resolution, Still haven't tried a lower bitrate for under the sea yet..just got mighty switch force and nano assault today xD

Hey amzg & co
I took version 1.1 and improved the progress bars.
All modifications are marked by

" ; ADDED"
" ; CHANGED"
"; DELETED "

to make it clear.
All bars fill up smoother, the split process is now integrated in the final progressbar and the final progressbar finishes not until the whole process is done.
A nice side effect: conversion will now be a little faster because of a modified split process.

Merry X-Mas everyone! ;)

480 x 240 IS 4:3 resolution, riiight?

what is 480x240, actually?

4:3 is not resolution, it is aspect ratio. 4:3 means that the width is 4/3 times the height. [i.e. width = 4 x (height/3)]

480x240 therefore is 2:1 ratio, because the width is 2/1 times the height [i.e. width = 2 x (height/1) = 2 x height]

Aha, I see- thank you Master Sifjar.

THANK YOU!!!!!

Merry XMas to you!!!

What's left? ohh the "1900" date problem...is it a way to implement a fix for this on the application itself?
If there is a fix for the problem out there, please direct me/us to it and I/we will try to implement it (I personally will quite possibly fail, but perhaps amzg or BelowZero will succeed :P )
