Can anyone help me? I end up with left and right avi's as well as the temp avi but nothing else happens. All 3 progress bars are full so I should see split files I'm assuming.

Nevermind it seems to keep processing and splitting files but takes a long long time to do it.
I already wrote that the last split process is still not observed by the final progress bar. So it can take some time till the done-window pops up even if the final video progress bar is already full. Now that amzg implemented my changings in his version (great job btw ;)) it's a good starting situation to improve that. Give me some time to make it perfect  .

No worries, this program is almost perfect already! You guys are amazing btw!

On a previous comment about a week ago I stated how Under the Sea 3d was lagging in the audio department when i converted it to my 3ds. Sammy's Adventure 3d also lagged too at some parts.

So I decided to buy a new SD card thinking that maybe the SD that is included on the 3ds is too slow for some videos (most of the videos i converted plays fine but it seems for extreme 3d videos like Imax under the sea and Sammy's Adventure, there is audio lag).

I bought a transcend 32 class 10 SDHC and I placed the same laggy video on the sd card and the issue is mostly gone. There is still some occasional lag but it smooths out after a bit. Thus, I think that it depends of the SD card if the video is lagging. Most of the time i don't think people are going to run into this problem, but just putting it out there if people are experiencing this.

Edit: I'm probably wrong. although switching sd cards did make the audio function differently and sometimes for the better, it still has serious issues with Under the Sea for me. I don't know whats wrong =[. maybe the movie is too awesome for the 3ds =[. some parts play fine but the beginning has huge lag.

Hi guys, your program works very well ! I use it to convert 2D videos to my 3DS. But to keep the same ratio than on the original video, I have to use virtual dub and first resize my original video to the 3DS screen (400 pixels width) and add a letterbox effect to get a final 400*240 video. Then I use your program to convert it to the 3DS format and to split it (that's great :) ).
So my question is : could you add to your GUI a new width/new height option and a expand frame to letterbox box option to fit the 3DS screen ? Does ffmpeg accept these commands ?
1) First we need to get the Width and Height of the avi file and save them in memory, need 2 variables, each for one.

I get this code from autohoykey forum (http://www.autohotke...topic67070.html)
I have simplified for our needs...but I don know how change the line "File1 := "test.mp4" to work with 3DS Video 1.0 gui, we need that File1 be our "VideoPath"

Code:
File1 := VideoPath

or

Code:
File1 = %VideoPath%

Note the different operator.

My converter supports 4:3, fullscreen and 'safe-zone'. Givie it a try :) (link in sig)

Your convert give me an error, dont work for me :(

Can you explain line command to make 4:3, fullscreen and 'safe-zone' please?

ffmpeg can automatically letter box videos, simply specify the aspect ratio of the video with "-aspect". For example: a 640x480 video can be converted to a letter boxed 400x240 video by using "-s 400x240 -aspect 4:3".

That said, I don't believe the video needs to be 400x240. If you saw my earlier post, 4:3 videos can be converted to a resolution of 320x240 and the 3DS will play them centred on the screen.

But if we have a 720x304 video...how can I made?

When did you last try? It should be working now.

Yes, I download this http://socoder.net/u...24/3DSMovie.rar
... It seems I uploaded the wrong file again... -- for that version a quick fix would be to create a folder c:\convert\ with ffmpeg.exe and my converter inside.
I am uploading an update which *should* work .

YES YES YES!!!!! I try this but not work...but now YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! thanx SifJar!!

I think it was too late and could not thinking with sleep :D

Keep aspect ratio very soon :)

I didn't use the -aspect option at all, just set the output size.

ahhh ok! thanx!

In your converter, if you choose Full Screen and Save-Zone...always convert to 400x176??? Is this corrert?
In some videos this not keep aspect ratio :(

Keeps aspect ratio is more difficult than expected hehehe

but no matter if we change the date with this tool the 3ds won't register the video date correctly.
It has been reported to work with this tool. Did you try it?
it doesn't work.
i linked it at first because it had an option to change the creation date, but it turns out that tool just makes it's own date tag instead of editing the tag we need.
I read somewhere Spinal saying this info was in the file header
