Oh crap!
I just realized I bought that shield without the jumper.
Please Kristian, confirm there is no need to further modifications to set the voltage to 3.3v
No,the shield will convert the voltage automatically for you.I have the shield too.for the jumpers, you should buy female to male jumpers

Wait....jumpers for what?
hahahahaha, yeah, I know I´m clueless, but not hopeless!

ryuga was talking about the wires, you will need to buy some female-male connector wires to can connect the pins to the arduino pins. as I meantioned before, I own the same shield too and it converts the voltage to 3v3 without any modifications.
Edit: They are called Dupont wires and looks like this http://www.uctronics.com/static/ima...e-female-connector-254mm-fdde63c7-800x800.jpg

i think maybe most people should wait a few days before starting to buy stuff, until a nice little step by step tutorial is put together with pictures, with a lil shopping list XD

...before we get some people asking how to connect the arduino to the raspberry pi :P

thats easy: UART is the way to go there. simple three wire interface, no collusions, easy to use. only requires synchronized clock rates

no but what I'm getting at is you don't need both, but the info as it is, is pretty much all mixed up together to the point where i could imagine some people to end up buying everything mentioned in the tread. i think the 2 methods need to be separated and have their own tutorial wrote up before the masses get involved :D

Actually at the current stage both the code should be in close beta. That's why there are no clear tutorial yet

yeah that's what i'm getting at, im no expert but i can follow the info and understand it, but for the majority of people wanting to unbrick their own 3ds they might consider this thread as a tutorial

I added most of the components needed on my github, with a small schematic what I made right now (in paint, lost my circuit designer)

im not arguing the info is bad everything you need to know has pretty much been covered :), just that for some they might start getting the 2 mixed up with this thread containing methods for both arduino and raspi :D

Connect both pi and arduino and a cfw will be created  (just joking)

i am actually expecting post like this soon lol, still funny seeing all the "how do i JTAG xbox with my usb drive" it usually gets pretty bad when something is in its infancy people have a habbit of skimming over info and disregarding anything they dont understand....resulting in stupid conclusions

something something arduino something something raspbery pi something something 3ds back on 4.5.....that must mean its a downgrade method how do i do this now i have bought the both mod chip flash cards

Nice!
So, the pins on the 3DS boards I solder a "custom cable" I have that goes directly to a MicroSD to SD adapter (). The "custom cable" goes to the SD Shield, that goes to the Arduino Uno using the Dupont male female cables. The arduino goes to the computer using the an USB cable, right? This way we close the "circuit" between the 3DS and the computer.

Then all I need is to load the Arduino with the code you guys did, assuming we have an Arduino environment already set up, then we run the code and select the erase option.

Is that all, roughly speaking, of course?

Cheers!

Then after that you have to flash the NAND backup back, if there is no NAND backup made you cant restore the NAND after erase.
Anyone needs a way to disable the lock feature forever, or that is not needed anymore ? I am trying to find how to write to EXT_CSD but nothing so far

Right!
I didn't mention that intentionally :) After an erase a new flash is needed. And in case you don't have YOUR OWN backup, DON'T DO THE ERASE! :P

I know I ask a lot of stupid questions, but it´s because I´m willing to participate.
I don´t want to sit on my ass waiting for "someone else to do it".
I could easily lurk around until a complete idiot´s guide gets written, but I want to try this learning how, and then probably write the guide myself to help others.
Hell, we don´t even know if this code works but I´m buying all the stuff because I´m willing to try.
