Yesterday I installed a CIA using FBI. But each time after launching the game/software, I get some error on the lower screen. So I tried to uninstall that game/software, using the data management in system settings. After that, turning on my 3DS results in a black screen.

To fix it, I thought I restore my sysNAND using GodMode, but it didn't help. What can I do?

  1. Copy everything off your SD card onto a computer.
  2. Reformat the card as FAT32 + 32 KB cluster size with Windows File Explorer or guiformat.
  3. With it empty, do a Full Write + Verify Test with H2testw. Do not skip this step.
  4. Delete the *.h2w test files if the card passes.
    • If at any moment an error occurs, you may stop the test.
    • A fake or hardware faulty card needs to be replaced and can't be fixed. Go back to step 1 or 2.
  5. Check your 3DS with a test CFW setup. Use the archive found here.

I tried to restore and older (2017) 11.6 NAND dump, and CTRTransfer of 9.2 and both didn't work. Fortunately, I found a 2013 NAND dump of firmware 4.5 and I tried to restore that and it magically worked. After that, I restored the most recent dump and suddenly this also works. I don't know what the problem was, nor do I know why the 4.5 NAND dump worked.
