Your sd card is corrupted get a new one

Try this:

Open File Explorer

Find your SD card and note the letter in parenthesis, for me it's F:

Open Command Prompt in administrator mode

Type "chkdsk F: /F" but change the letter if it's not F:

Hit enter

If that doesn't fix it, you're going to have to find a way to get the data off the SD and then reformat. Next time, don't delete random files.

I tried the command prompt method and that didn't work, I am always extremely careful about this kind of stuff and i dont usually delete random files but in this case I had just made a folder and the USBC file was already there before I could paste the file from what I was doing before. I might be ok because I downloaded a program called disk drill and I think it might work

What did you do exactly?
Is your Nintendo 3DS folder on the sd card still there?
Have you tried plugging it back into the 3DS and your games didn't show up on the home menu?
Do you create save backups of your games with Checkpoint regularly?

1 all i did was create a folder called ''NitroHax'' as told in this tutorial https://github.com/ahezard/NitroHax3DS
and right after i made the folder the usbc file appared in the folder and then it corrupted itself
2 no the sc card is now corrupted and it tells me to format
3 i back up my games about every 2 weeks but the sd card is corrupted and thats where checkpoint backs up to

So the sd card doesn't appear when plugged to your pc?
Is the sd card adapter in the unlocked position? Try with another one if you can.
Was your sd card checked with h2testw before when you first installed cfw?
Again, plug back in the 3DS, if it doesn't recognize it and your games won't show up in the home menu, go to fbi browse the contents of the sd card if they appear there. If somehow you can't access fbi, do it in GodMode9 instead, just to check files are still there.

it appears but i need to format it to use it, its a micro sd card in a new2dsxl so it dosent have a lock feature
i didnt test anything when installing cfw
the ds didnt read the card the first time and im using a disk recovery app so i cant take the sd card out right now
i used a program called disk drill and it found all of the files but when i press transfer it brings up a screen teling me to pay $115

Again, try with a different sd card adapter, a faulty one could cause behave like it's locked and cause you read & write problems.

I meant when you're plugging in your pc.
check it with h2testw unless someone already said that. make sure the card is empty though.
But that would require both the sd card to be formatted (so the test can reliable), and the data to be wiped since from what he's describing he can't access its contents. Only then he can check it, but i'm trying to help for him to atleast salvage his saves at this point.

If he can't access the data when he plugged it in, then there isn't much he can do if it throwing file corruption, first thing you do when you buy a SD card is to test it anyway. If he got a bootleg card that would explain it.

well, it should've been obvious that I meant for him to transfer the content over to his pc first.

it was a official SanDisk 64 gb card

i tried a diffrent adapter and there is still the same problem, also what is the pc lock feature?

Sure, if it's completly corrupt. My suggestions above just to eliminate it's not from something else..

I asked him above about that. Chances if he did it when he first installed cfw, it's way small chance to cause him a corruption now, though still possible.

Yeah, it goes without saying.. Though appropriate if he can't access it.

Sd card adapter lock.. Alright, if you've tried with another one then that nullifies that theory. I would say either try your luck with recovery softwares, for atleast your saves, if you haven't done any formatting to it it is worth a shot, and if the files are still there & just stuck, there's a chance.
Or skip that if you chose to, format it with Guiformat, then test it with h2testw with both Write & read.

Regardless if you think it is official 64GB, you should always test the card when you buy new SD card, as for your file corruption problem if you can't access your files at all then you are kinda out of luck, you can try data recovery software EaseUS data recovery software. Recovered files may not always work.

If you can access the content on the card, backup what you have and test the card with in being empty. If you don't get a result of test finished without errors then it is a bad card.
