Hacking 3ds roms update question

i recently brought a r4i gold 3ds rts, thinking it would play 3ds games, but it don't

my queston is, will it be able to play 3ds roms with a kernel update that support them or i would have to buy another card?

r4i gold 3ds rts is a DS flashcard so the answer is no.

You will have to buy the Gateway in order to play 3ds roms.
