Hardware 3ds repair spring

I lent my 3ds to a friend he complained that the R button wasn't working and while opening it he lost a spring is this spring really needed if not what would you recommended I use in exchange if not could you direct me to a place that sells them thank you

i repaired my ds lite, i think its the same thing... if the button is "clicky" the spring is not really needed

if you dont want to get another spring i suggest you to remove the spring from the L button too so you will not feel a diference between the 2 buttons, the spring is not really needed but makes the thing feel better...

You could use a spring from a lighter I reckon,
