I did one day forward, then after that a day back.(You need to do this in one move, else your system will get fucked up in some ways, maybe that explain your problem)

So again my steps:

1. Go to settings
2. Date & Time
3. Select Date
4. Go one day forward
5. Go one day back
6. Leave settings and enjoy!

So doing it this way doesn't interfere with the "Met Mii characters via StreetPass 10 days in a row." accomplishment? I haven't been able to get that one. What I've been doing is I set it for the correct date at night so at midnight it switches over, then after I get my first 10 coins, I push the year back and just keep doing that until right before bed when I change it back to the correct date.
