Gaming 3DS Pedometer Bug? (2.0 related?)

So, on Friday I got home from work at like 10:30, and had about 14,500. I went out to my car to get something, and did a few other things, and check again, I had 15,500. So I left it on my desk (closed during a video) for like a half hour probably, and checked again, and it was around 14,500 (Wasn't the same exact number. I forget the numbers exactly).

I figured the movie had something to do with it, so I started closing it while either an E3 video was playing, or the Green Lantern and then shaking it. I thought maybe if you closed it while a movie was playing, it would subtract steps for some reason...

And way, just before midnight it jumped down again. Back to around the original number again.

Now I'm looking at my activity log for the day, and it says "14,418". Like wuuuuuuut. Not that it matters. I got my coins, but it dropped down twice. This has never happened to me before the update. Not really a big problem at all though...

Anyone else have this happen?

Mine works just fine on 2.0 !! I check my step a lot of time during the day and I didn't notice any of that.

I haven't noticed any problems with mine, but i tend to only get just enough steps for the 10 coins, so maybe it has something to do with higher numbers?

My friend also had this problem after updating. I'm sure it's a problem in the new version.

I haven't noticed any problems with mine, but i tend to only get just enough steps for the 10 coins, so maybe it has something to do with higher numbers?

im pretty sure i read somewhere that you can only get 10 coins a day

Yeah, the cap is ten. He's saying once he gets all ten (1000 steps), he turns his 3DS off or stops carrying it with him.

Sorry for lack of clarity, i was referring to higher numbers of steps taken (over 1000) as awssk8er stated, not more coins.

After that point is reached I usually turn off my 3DS, no one else where I work has a 3DS so i'm not missing out on any streetpass opportunities in doing so.

So today I've been paying more attention to my steps.

I walked into school from the lot and checked my 1st class and I had 24 steps... I normally have like 600.

I restarted my 3DS and it ahowed 600 steps with 6 coins, and it jumped down to 300 and kept the coins.

I walked to my next class and now it shows 617 steps with 8 coins.. when I had zero this morning.

Seriousky wtf Nintendo. Mad buggy.
