Hacking 3DS PDA application

Hi, I had a random thought: I wanted a PDA for the Nintendo 3ds. After scouring the web, I couldn’t find anything, so I got to work in MS print to create a draft screenshot. I’m not good with code, so I was wondering if anyone else would be interested in making this a reality?
It would include both text and handwritten notes, as well as a contact list for phone, email, and address. The calendar would be preset with well known holidays, but you could make your own entries. You could customize the color of the second hand/current date just like on the DS (if possible, via the DS settings, and the app could just read your system color.
I’m thinking I could set it as the homebrew title, and have the 3ds autoboot to it, so that I could just turn it on, and it would be my PDA. On top of that, I’m thinking you could password lock it, so that it wouldn’t let you past the “Lock Screen” without inputting a PIN set in “options”.

That would only cover the calendar, and it was official, meaning the only way to get it now would be piracy (which I don’t want to get into)

I tried downloading that just now, and none of the included files would open in TM++.

Also, while I know an old smartphone would do, I already take my 3ds everywhere I go. (Also, mostly it’s a novelty)

I don't know what you did, but someone was just asking about this in another thread, and a bit of searching suggests people have managed to make it work one way or another.

I expect people "good with code" probably have other things they might want to work on rather than something that's "mostly a novelty".

Your mockup is really nice. Unfortunately you are unlikely to find anyone who has both the skills and time to make something for you without a commission. DS software development, from experience, is pretty unruly as it's a lot of barely documented libraries.
