I highly doubt the 3DS is going to have more than one moving part, and even then it's going to be as simple a mechanism as possible, a fat hinge like it's been since the SP.

More moving parts is more possible points to fail.

This is talking the whole slide/flip design, not the sticks. Personally I'd like a good analog stick added, and since DS games don't appear to recognize any actual analog movement, it could just be made so that anything over a certain threshold (such as 10-25% tilt) counts as that direction?
