Hacking 3DS killed my DSTwo...

I find this entire thing odd, since I had forgotten to use the 3DS update until after getting my 3DS as well.

I would just pop it in, it would appear as Fish Tycoon, and give me an error when booting the game.

Lucky for me, my roommate had an original DS I could borrow, and I updated my Supercard fine with it, and it worked afterward.

Pardon my asking, but did you update your 3DS before using the Supercard update? I ask because mine was still firmware 1.00.

I have the same problem as the OP and no matter what I try, my DS Lite and 3DS will not detect my DSTWO. I have an Acekard 2i that I tried running the dstwo_load_NDSL.nds tool on, but it doesn't do anything when I insert my DSTWO into my DS Lite. I've tried this tool on a friend's DS Lite to no avail as well. I've ordered another DSTWO and hopefully I can try unbricking this one if it's merely a software issue. Otherwise, it's a hardware failure.
