I just bought my brother an R4 SDHC Dual Core 2022 Card for his 3ds but first tested it on mine.
We both have old 3ds's running cfw with luma and b9s. When I put the card into his 3ds it doesn't recognize it and simply says "there is nothing inserted into the game card slot" but my 3ds reads it and I can play from it just fine. I've tried replacing the kernel files on the card but that didn't fix it and neither did updating his 3ds to Luma 11.0.
His console reads 3ds carts just fine.
I also have an old R4i RTS 3DS card from roughly 9 years ago (in the picture of me holding it). And tested that in both consoles and his 3ds reads that one just fine so I don't think it's anything physical in terms of the cartidge slot or the contacts on the cartridge.
Does anyone have any advice on what I can try to fix this?
