Hacking 3DS (is) broke(n) for weird reason?!

Dear people replying to this thread, please refer to my main post for an explanation and status on the problem!

Why are you not allowed(?) to take it apart or send it in for repairs?

Well my parents aren´t too keen to have me send it away to a foreign country, or send it away at all. They´d rather let me upgrade from the broken O3DS to a New 3DS XL for some reason. I don´t understand that, since it´s cheaper with repairing. They don´t really like me having older stuff for some reason. Don´t get me wrong. We aren´t some rich snobs or anything. I just wish that they´d see the charm - and some of the advantages - in older stuff.

If they are going to buy you N3DSXL, you can repair this secretly and sell it. It does not have to be damaged cable. It can be just slightly pulled out.

Gotcha. Well I guess you make out with a new console. Hopefully you can complete a system transfer with your issue so you don't lose everything. I'd keep the broken system though, it's an easy fix and you'll be allowed to fix it one day, seeing as your parents can't stop you forever.

Hold on a minute. Pulled out? What do you mean by that? I tried reinserting the cable as seen at 9:30 in the video from my main post. I tried that multiple times and it didn´t work. Are you refering to something else perhaps? Btw I don´t think they´ll mind be selling it.

Well, selling it is an option. The 3DS is still "fully" functional, as long as it´s played at 90 degrees, so the potential system transfer will probably work. I´m just bitter because I had done every user-friendly customization on the console possible. I just finished that last week... Btw what N3DS XL is guaranteed a firmware version between 9-11.3? I´ll need to re-hack it so...

Pretty normal. They don't care what they left there, as long as it passed all tests

I just wanted to make sure that nothing was wrong. I mean, I thought it was strange enough that I bought a 3DS on fw 2.1.0 back in september last year. So that suspiciousness was kind of carried over to this case.
