This is like the 3rd WOBBLE poll/thread that doesn't really do anything for the rest of us.

None of the hinges are sturdy enough that if you push it a bit, it moves.
My DS lite's top screen moves as much as my 3DS. An easy fix: BUY A CRYSTAL CASE / ALUMINUM CASE.

Don't just go, "Please comment when you vote, blahblah blah". We know, the screen moves a bit when
you touch it. The ones who voted it doesnt wobble, they dont exactly get what exactly you guys mean
about WOBBLE. It's LOOSE.
What other comment can we put here? Fix your question then we could answer.

What, is it problematic enough that you can't play a game with that kind of hardware design?
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

I've had my DSLite since launch and it doesnt wobble one bit. Now my 3DS... :/

Does this count? It's only a little bit of wobble. I wish my 3DS was that blue! My iPod's camera made it look purdy.

That's pretty much the exact same as mine, and probably 50% of everyone else's.
And yes, this is considered as wobbly.

Yes, it wobbles! It drives me crazy.

I've made a video.

-snip-

What do you think? I will probably go back to the store tomorrow. I want new one.
That drives you crazy?
...Sure, return it

It shouldn't wobble THAT MUCH though. It moves almost half an inch. Get it exchanged dude.

Mine doesn't wobble at all. But if it did, I would still keep it. The wobbling I see from the video above looks so minor!

The hinge is suppose to wobble a little, to stop it from cracking like the previous DS models before it, a Nintendo PR confirmed this

We've heard a few people say this but there is yet to be any solid comment from Nintendo on the subject. If this was true wouldn't a stiff hinge be listed as a known problem instead of a loose one? My DSi has very very minimal "wobble" even after 2 years of use and is yet to crack at all. It's rock solid when compared to my 3DS.

Then why are you complaining about the wobble?

They did come out and said something.

Under wobble it basely says if wobble doesn't affect gameplay of any kinda there nothing to worry about.

Because stiff hinges doesn't effect gameplay, but you may have to be more careful.

For all I am concern a slight wobble that doesn't affect gameplay is a sturdy built.

I didn't say I had a problem with my DSi, I said I had a problem with my 3DS. There is a huge "wobble" difference between the two. There is also a difference in exactly what is said on the Nintendo support page and what people interpret it to mean.
QUOTEWith some Nintendo 3DS systems, there may be some slight give or play to the hinge. As long as the upper screen locks into place, this is within the quality specifications of the system and won't affect game play. -Nintendo support page
Nintendo defines what quality specifications means for the 3DS so it really doesn't mean anything to the consumer, aside from "it's good enough for us". People seem to interpret this to mean that any and all wobble is fine and by design, when in fact all it really says is that they knew about it and it shouldn't be bad enough to affect gameplay unless:
QUOTE
the play in the hinge continues to be distracting or if the issue seems more severe, the Nintendo 3DS does carry a one-year warranty. -Nintendo support page
Many people are saying that this is affecting gameplay for them and that it is distracting them so I would guess that these people are not lying or trolling but instead have a valid complaint. Some people have a slight wobble and others have a more severe and distracting wobble. They are not all the same and I'm sure many people are able to put up with it but there are varying degrees to this problem and there's no reason to assume that just because you are not annoyed or distracted by it, that no one should.

I'm sure people test these quality specifications. I didn't say any or all wobbles.
Wobbles that doesn't affect gameplay is fine.

You pretty much restated what I said.

"more severe and distracting wobble"

I need proof because all I see people doing is complaining about every slight wobble.

Plus not all people are going to state that their 3DS is fine.

Negatives are more heard of at the beginning than positives.

But even then when you get a fine working 3DS

Positives > negatives

It manufacturing and shipping issues things happen.

I wouldn't doubt that most people are fine with their 3DS. Of course people are going to try to get their voices heard, when they perceive a problem, as opposed to when everything is as it's supposed to be.

Like I had said before, when I first got my 3DS there was very little wobble and it didn't bother me much, but after a while it got progressively worse. I experienced a spectrum of wobble in the few days that I owned it. So I would say that I can understand how some people can be fine with a slight wobble and I also understand how a (moderate to strong) wobble can really hinder gameplay and annoy a person.

Congrats to anyone with a sturdy or slight wobble hinge, and also to those who are not annoyed or hindered by it. To the rest of you, Nintendo has made repairs a very simple process and if you rather not go through that process, many vendors also offer 100% money back returns or exchanges (ie. Amazon, Target, ToysRus...). Happy gaming.

Black 3DS, wobbles pretty much. I tried to live with it, but the difference to a non-wobbly 3DS is just huge (I tried one in a store). Sent it back to Nintendo, let's hope they fix/exchange it.

Alright, heres info from the 3 3DS's i have had so far. (All Cosmos Black)

3DS 1- Not much wobble, but the damn D-Pad was defective
3DS 2- Kinda wobbly (Not ALOT, but enough to kinda annoy me if i was playing while walking/standing or in a moving vehicle), but the damn screen had a scratch on it
3DS 3- I'd say its stiffer than 2 but about the same as the first, but it makes a squeeky noise sometimes :wtf:. (Though, i can deal with it)

My 3DS definitely has a loose hinge, although it doesn't make the system unplayable, just annoying. It didn't bother me as much until I checked out my co-worker's 3DS today, and the hinge was very sturdy, and actually "snapped" into the open position

I'm using an aluminum case right now, and it actually makes the hinge better than my co-worker's, but now I can't use the NYKO battery or Nintendo charging cradle. Oh well.

You should update the 360 to newest dash before RGHing it yes. But not a big deal if you don't, you can install new dash/avatar updates after. It's just easier to do it auto online before, instead manual offline after.

@BigOnYa I wanted to ask you about your experience with seeing south park. Most of the people a bit younger like my younger brother and cousins that are a few younger than me that saw kids found south park funny because of the curse words, kids at school, that seemed like liking the show on a very basic level.

I could not quite have a in depth discussion of the show.

How was it for you? As an adult. What did you find the most interesting part about it. Did you relate to the parents of the kids and their situations. Was it satires, the commentary on society. The references on celebrities' and pop culture.

@BigOnYa there were relevant issues before south park was made, that's why i think a south park prequel/spinoff would be great. Randy and his friends in their child hood

Yea, like them running in high school together, getting into stuff, and how they got hitched and had kids. And how the town of South Park was back then compared to now. That would be cool to see.

    yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
