i think there could be a possible way to hack it by getting a wifi usb dongle
and some software to make the 3ds think its another 3ds and wile the dongle is passing data
it can send a special code that puts it into debug mode or something like that so what do you guys think
(i know already the 3ds is not out it might be some security flaw or something so dont post a million times spamming saying you dont know...)

Not bad advice, considering my launch PSP is still on the 1.5 firmware (never updated), and it was totally worth it.

So exploit Streetpass.

I doubt it would work, but maybe Streetpass could one day be utilized by homebrew developers.

Also why do "newcomers" keep coming here and posting uneducated hacking ideas that they have no idea about?

Well, I've also thought about the possibility of exploiting StreetPass or SpotPass and pushing a hacked firmware update, but IIRC, all the communications on the Wii were encrypted via SSL, so we couldn't do anything with it, and I highly doubt that they won't do the same thing on the 3DS.

Because they're mostly f*cking idiots!

But seriously, OP, what was the point of this topic? It's not like anyone can even test your theory... It's better to be quiet and have people think you're a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt!

I also think the 3DS is hackable, it's made by people so it can also been cracked by people.

The wii is also hacked and the 3DS is like a portable wii (home button, channels, save files will be the same as on the wii ect.)

save files will be on the game card. There is no chance it won´t be!

Why do you think so?

I think I read something about it in Ngamer (Dutch Gamers magazine)
I could make a pic if you want (and translate the text)

EDIT: couldn't make picture, but I have the text: "A sleeping(stand-by) 3DS considers all the titles the player played and saved even when the Game card isn't in the console

I hope I translated it in proper English

So? It says that the sleeping 3DS may even access save data of games that aren't inserted, so that means that it'll store them in it's own memory.

yea i dont know the 3ds isn't out

Seriously, we dont know a fuck about the 3DS.

Hell, i think there's an exploit in the slide pad, when you slide it a little to the upper left about {-69, 69}, the 3DS will fuck itself up allowing you to run any code you like.
what do you guys think.

Quite possible. The mobo is around that area, so if it were to slightly touch it the 3DS could go into a Debug Menu. All you would have to do is solder a Fluxcompacitor, to the slider, and mobo. Perfect, this is how the 3DS will be hacked.

Okay, there are a two things wrong with this post. Number 1, if you don't know, why did you make a thread? Number 2, even still, your idea is so vague that you haven't actually come up with anything useful (see "some software", "special code", "there might be some security flaw"). I'm not a hacker, nor am I trying to be a dick as you seem like a newcomer here. I realize I might be coming off harsh, but these kind of threads crop up all the time and some people need to learn.
