I've added some people's friend code as I've seen them in signatures, but I'm rather curious. Is it required for them to add me as well in order for it to be properly 'accepted'? So far a 1-way add doesn't seem to be doing much at all.

The 3DS tells me that they have to add me as well, but I was rather curious if the 3DS sends some kind of "invite" to the other person.

Regards,

The 3DS sends no notification whatsoever, and a one-way add is indeed completely useless by itself. You need to get them to register you as well; on a forum this is usually easily done by sending a PM. (also, you can have a max of 100 friends registered)

Thanks for replying. It kinda sucks that it's only a 1-way add. Rather useless if you ask me, but also prevents any kind of spam I suppose.
